A truck fire has forced authorities to shut down a portion of the I-70/I-470 interchange in west Topeka during rush hour on Wednesday.
The work truck caught on fire on the ramp from eastbound I-70 onto I-470, forcing authorities to block off the exit ramp and reroute traffic. Drivers were diverted off the highway onto Auburn Road.
All lanes and the exit ramp reopened within an hour. Although, the truck remained there awaiting a tow.
The driver of the truck wasn't hurt in the incident.
