Reports: Chiefs sign Kelvin Benjamin
The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly bringing in a wide receiver with more than a little to prove.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the team has signed Kelvin Benjamin to a one-year deal. The Buffalo Bills released Benjamin on Tuesday.
Benjamin had just 23 catches for 354 yards and one touchdown this season for Buffalo. His numbers have steadily declined since a breakout rookie year in 2014 that included 73 receptions for 1,008 yards and nine touchdowns.
Over his past 42 games, Benjamin has just 11 touchdowns. He did tear his ACL to miss all of the 2015 season.
This would be his third NFL team. The Carolina Panthers traded their 2014 first-round pick to the Bills last season.
