TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Someone just won the biggest Super Kansas Cash jackpot ever – and the ticket was bought right here in northeast Kansas!

According to the Kansas Lottery, one player matched all five numbers and the Super Cash Ball to win $6,691,944 in the April 17th drawing. Not only is it a record jackpot, it’s the first time someone has hit all the numbers since January 10, 2018.

“It’s been more than a year since we’ve had a jackpot winner for Super Kansas Cash, so we are excited to have the jackpot finally hit,” said Stephen Durrell, the Acting Executive Director of the Kansas Lottery.”

The lottery says the winner lives in Johnson Co. and chose to remain anonymous. The ticket was sold in Olathe, lottery officials said.

The winner has 365 days to claim their prize and lottery officials have some advice to anyone with a winning ticket.

“We want to remind the winner to sign the back of the ticket and keep it in a safe place until they are ready to claim it,” Durrell said.

All Super Kansas Cash jackpots are paid in one-lump sum.

UPDATE: This story has been updated to include the winner has stepped forward and is from Johnson Co.
