TOPEKA (WIBW)-- A local real estate team that launched their new name some two months ago, are now helping to launch others into their dream of home ownership.
13 NEWS caught up with members of Stone & Story Real Estate Group with Keller Williams One Legacy Partner, as they presented Habitat for Humanity with a check for $1,000.
The money raised Thursday was the result of a home design competition.
Competitors were given $1,500 to design three homes.
A purchase of a $20 ticket gave people the opportunity to tour the homes and vote.
Team leaders Annette Stahl and Darin Stephens say they're whole purpose is giving back.
"So, we wanted to give back to the community and habitat does so much for the community and new homeowners," Stephens said. "We're in real estate and new construction and resale homes. We wanted to make sure that we tied that link back and give back to the community."
Stone & Story Real Estate Group with Keller Williams One Legacy Partner, say they will definitely have another home competition next year.
