MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - A man who escaped Riley County Police custody five days ago is behind bars.
RCPD says officers arrested Cory Calkins just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday. They say he will be booked for aggravated burglary, aggravated escape from custody, interference with law enforcement, meth possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, and theft.
RCPD says the charges stem from three separate cases.
Authorities issued an alert for Calkins. 33, last Saturday morning. They said he escaped after being taken into custody for aggravated burglary and drug offenses.
Further information on how he got away and how he was taken back into custody was not released.
Calkins is being held on $44,000 bond.
