Man linked Topeka stabbing death taken into custody

The Topeka Police Dept. has located their person of interest in the Sunday night stabbing that

Andrew Timothy Evans was taken into custody without incident, authorities said on Monday. They did not say if Evans has been arrested at this time and that further updates are forthcoming.
Investigators had identified the 40-year-old Evans as a person of interest shortly after Raymond Lee Smith was found suffering from stab wounds around 8 p.m. in the 1200 block of SE 33rd St. Smith, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evans had been seen fleeing the area on foot, police said at the time.
