TOPEKA (WIBW)-- People braved the cold to gather and pray along Highway 24 in St. Marys Wednesday night.

This was the annual Rosary for the Community on the anniversary of Roe v Wade.

Parishes from around the state prayed the entire 15 decade Rosary, with its joyful, sorrowful and glorious mysteries.

One pro-life supporter says he hopes the prayer will touch law makers hearts.

"Ultimately prayer is an address to to God, so we're hoping that God will continue to give his grace and great perfusion to change the hearts and minds of our fellow Americans and of our legislators both in the state legislator and in Washington," Pro-Life Supporter Robert Kirby said. "It needs to be a wholesale change in the way that people think about abortion."

This is the 47th anniversary of Roe v Wade decision.
