One person in custody after second Mission Valley Schools threat

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- The Mission Valley Schools USD 330 alerted parents of the second school threat in a week Tuesday.

The school district sent out a letter to parents Tuesday afternoon saying, "Any reports of school violence and/or student endangerment will continue to be investigated and addressed accordingly," and "School disciplinary actions will also be applied up to and including long term suspension or expulsion."

The case was turned over to the Wabunsee Co. Sheriff's Department, and the student was taken into custody for futher investigation.

As of Wednesday morning, the type of threat has not been confimed by USD 330. School authorities say the student was immediately isolated, and no further security measures were required.

Another USD 330 student was taken into custody earlier in the week, after posting a threat warning students "Don't come to school tomorrow".
