Man in custody for killing one, injuring another in Junction City shooting

A 21-year-old is in police custody for killing a man, and injuring another in a shooting in Junction City.

Just after 4:30 p.m. Friday officers were dispatched to the area of 2306 Wildcat Lane in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival they found two men suffering from gun shot wounds. The victims have been identified as Felix Snipes, 29, and Cartavius King, 25, both of Junction City. They were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka for their injuries. Snipes passed away at the hospital, King is expected to survive.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Snipes.

An investigation led to officers to arrest Fontelle N. Jolly, 21, of Junction City, for murder, attempted murder, and aggravated battery. Jolly is currently being held Geary County Detention Center with no bond.
