Two people injured after car crashes into Topeka Sam's Club

TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW) -- Topeka Police say two people were injured when a car careened through a parking lot and crashed into the Topeka Sam’s Club this afternoon.

Just before 12:30 p.m. officers say a man driving west toward the Sam’s Club on Wanamaker collided with a vehicle near Panera Bread.

The driver then hit three parked cars in the Sam’s Club parking lot before crashing into the building.

The S-U-V hit one person inside the building.

That person along with the driver were taken to the hospital. They are expected to recover.

The cause of the crash is not yet known.
