TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) It was a slow-go for morning commuters trying to get to Topeka Thursday morning from the North.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two separate accidents caused traffic to start backing up on southbound US-75 around 8 a.m.
The first happened near US-24. Details are unclear as to how many vehicles were involved and if anyone was injured.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says minutes after the first crash a teen heading to school in Topeka drove into a overpass guard rail at 35th street while trying to avoid the backed up traffic from the first accident.
KHP says he was not seriously injured.
