Mother, 2 young children die in Coffey Co. fire

A mother and her two young children died in an Friday morning house fire in Burlington, according to the Coffey Co. Sheriff's Office.
One other person who was inside the home at the time of the blaze made it out of the home, suffering severe burns as he escaped, Sheriff Randy Rogers told 13 NEWS. He was flown to an area burn center.
Rogers did not identify any of the victims, pending notification of the their family. He noted that the man was not a family member.
He said firefighters were called to the single-story house, in the 200 block of Hudson Street, shortly before 5 a.m. The blaze engulfed the home, leaving the entire structure burned.
The Fire Marshal's Office is still working to determine the cause of the blaze.
