Mission Possible campaign off to successful start

(EYE ON NE KS) - Between online donations - and CoreFirst Bank's match - the Mission Possible campaign brought in nearly $30,000 in just over 24 hours.

Topeka Rescue Mission executive director Barry Feaker and CoreFirst Bank's John Fager delivered the update Friday in a visit to the Red Couch.

CoreFirst announced Thursday it will match up to $100,000 in donations made to the Topeka Rescue Mission through Sept. 18. You can make a donation by clicking here.

The campaign is cosponsored by WIBW-TV, the Topeka Capital Journal, and Lamar Outdoor Advertising.

TRM announced in early August that it was facing a $180,000 monthly shortfall and could close its doors if it could not find financial support.
