RENO COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) -- The Reno County Sheriff's Office says the remains of a missing teen were found on rural farm property north of Haven.
The Sheriff's Office says the landowner found the remains while working on his property on Saturday. Deputies arrived to find the remains and other items at the scene appeared to be that of a female.
The remains were transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for identification.
On Monday, March 5, a Pathologist with the Forensic Science Center, advised Reno County Authorities the remains had been positively identified by dental records as Laura Lee Dorey, 17, of Haven Kansas.
Laura had been reported as a missing person by her family on June 13, 2017.
Her cause of death is still under investigation.
