BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Bonner Springs Police Dept. showed off all the drugs it says were recovered during a Thursday afternoon traffic stop that turned into a massive drug bust.
According to a post on the agency's Facebook page, one of its units stopped a vehicle that was heading east on I-70. After discovering a large amount of methamphetamine was in the vehicle, the officer called in the Bonner Springs Police Dept.’s Community Action Team and Investigations Bureau.
Together, they found and seized 75 pounds of meth.
“Today, our officers kept these dangerous drugs from reaching the streets,” the post said.
The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody, according to police. They did not release his name.
