MARYSVILLE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Marysville Police Dept. is urging parents to talk to their kids about the dangerous effects of nicotine after elementary school students were found dabbing flavored nicotine during recess.

On Thursday, the police dept. shared onto its Facebook page images that included a bottle of flavored tobacco and several pens.

The post explained all of those items were taken from 5th and 6th graders at Marysville Elementary school. The students would reportedly put the nicotine in the pens and dab it during recess.

A vape pen was also taken from a student, police added.
