Twenty firefighters responded to battle early afternoon blaze at a three-story apartment complex in Manhattan.

According to the Manhattan Fire Dept., someone reported seeing a balcony on fire in the 3100 block of Lundin Drive around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Firefighters could see flames from the top floor deck as they arrived.

A quick search of the 12-unit building found nobody home. However, a dog was there and appeared to be okay, they said.

The two-alarm fire took just under a half-hour to get under control, the Fire Dept. said. Investigators have not determined at this time how much was damaged.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The building is owned Strata Properties, MFD said.
