TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police say a fight over a game sent a man to the hospital with eight stab wounds.
Officers say witnesses called police around 11 p.m. Sunday to report a fight started during a party inside an apartment in the 2100 block of SW High and spilled out into the parking lot. Everyone involved had left when officers arrived.
However, police were called a short time later to St. Francis hospital, where a man with stab wounds arrived by private vehicle.
Topeka Police say officers questioned the person who took him to the hospital, which lead them to an apartment building on SW High, where they arrested Deques Brown, 35.
Brown was booked into jail on charges of aggravated battery and on a warrant from another county.
