WICHITA, Kan.(KWCH) -- A Wichita man was sentenced Thursday to the Hard 50 for stabbing his wife to death and leaving her body in a dumpster behind a liquor store.
District Judge Faith Maughan sentenced Donnell Stafford, 31 to life with no possibility of parole for 50 years.
Stafford was found guilty on October 22nd of first-degree murder and two counts of cruelty to animals. He was also sentenced to one year in jail on each cruelty charge which will run concurrently with the life sentence.
Last Spring, the body of Leuh Moore was found in a dumpster outside The Cave liquor store near South Seneca and Merton.
