WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/WIBW) -- A Wichita man has pleaded guilty to killing his girlfriend's two-year-old son just over a year ago.

According to the Sedgwick Co. District Attorney's Office, Lucas Diel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Monday as part of a plea agreement.

Police say the boy, Anthony Bunn, was found unresponsive in a Wichita home in May of last year. The 26-year-old Diel and the boy's mother, Elizabeth Woolheater were arrested for his death.

A sentencing hearing is set for June 25. Both sides expect him to be sentenced to 584 months in prison, which is based on his criminal history, the District Attorney's Office says.

Woolheater is scheduled for a motions hearing later this month.
