Man arrested and charged for the death of a 4yo Silver Lake girl

A man has been arrested and charged in the death of a 4-year-old Silver Lake girl this summer.
According to Shawnee County District Attorney Mike Kagay, Timothy W Funk, 55, has been charged with Murder in the First Degree and two charges of Aggravated Endangering a Child.
On July 23, deputies found Brandy Lee Funk unresponsive at a home in the 300 block of S. Masche St.
Medical crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
Timothy Funk was arrested Thursday and is being held on a $500,000 bond.
Kagay did not say how the two were related.
His first court appearance will be Friday morning at 10:30am.
