TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) Monday, 2/8:
Kansas advocates rally in support of reproductive rights. State Rep. Gail Finney will join students from state universities, and representatives from Trust Women and Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Missouri at 11 a.m. in the first floor rotunda of the Statehouse.

Tuesday, 2/9:
Be prepared for some roadwork, Topeka drivers: Bridge inspection work begins on the 6th Avenue bridge on I-70 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Work will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, weather-permitting. Traffic will be directed with work zone cones and signs. It's a similar schedule for the 8th Street bridge Thursday and Friday, and the 10th Avenue bridge the following Monday-Tuesday.

Wednesday, 2/10:
Get tips and discuss concerns about filing your 2015 income tax return with a professional from H&R Block. The Tax Talk runs 7-8:30 p.m. at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library in Menninger Room 206.
Wednesday is also the start of Lent, known as Ash Wednesday.

Thursday, 2/11:
The Topeka Planning Department and Heritage Strategies will hold a second public meeting about the process of creating comprehensive design guidelines for S. Kansas Avenue Commercial and Mill Block Historic Districts. If you'd like to give input, meet at the Keltic Fox on 8th Street between 2:30 and 4 p.m.

Friday, 2/12:
The Kansas Garden Show kicks off three days of dreaming about and planning for warmer weather! The Kansas Expocentre's Landon Arena hosts the show from 10 a.m. -8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. -5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $8 at the door, but kids 12 and under are free. Friday is Senior Day: 55 and older buy one ticket, get one free.

Let the cookie craze begin! Girl Scout Cookie sales run February 13th through March 20th.
