G's Cheesecakes and More, located at 821 Shunga Trail, in Topeka is serving up cheesecakes you cannot find anywhere else.

"We have about 10 different flavors everyday. Freshly baked, so you don't have to go to Kansas City. You don't have to go to the Cheesecake Factory," Owner and chef of the restaurant George Kearse explained.

From carrot to lemon raspberry they have many unique flavors.

"We have our double chocolate cheesecake. They're having me add strawberries to it. Cherries to it," Kearse said.

Kearse says he believes there is one flavor that tops them all.

"It's a show stopper. I put the white chocolate macadamia nut up against any cheesecake in the world. Not in the state, not in the city, in the world," he said.

Kearse, who makes all off the cheesecakes, said there are a few things that make a good dessert.

"Some tender loving care because the cheesecake is different. When you cook, a lot of people don't realize when you cook, a lot of recipes tell you a certain time, but really you gotta cook by sight and touch," he explained.

However there's more than just cheesecakes at this Topeka restuarant.

"I wanted to bring back the open faced sandwhiches. Which you don't see around anymore," Kearse added.

The most popular items are the open-faced roast beef and open-faced turkey sandwhiches.

"Then we have an open faced pulled pork, and we have an open faced barbeque beef," Kearse said.

Breakfast items are also on the menu.

"We have three omlettes, and we have biscuits and gravy. The gravy is loaded with sausage," Kearse added.

G's Cheesecakes and More has been in business for a few months, but Kearse hopes to keep his customers satisfied for years to come.

"I want to be the best. I want G's Cheesecakes to be the best restaurant, the best experience that you can have in Topeka," Kearse added.

The restaurant is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
