TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Local nursing students are paying it forward.
Students from Baker School of Nursing presented a $625 check to Easterseals Capper Foundation during a visit Monday.
The students hold a fundraiser each semester for a local organization. They say it's important to get involved in the community and give back to the patients for whom they advocate and care.
The students say Capper is special to them, since one of their classmates has received services through the organization.
Easterseals Capper Foundation provides services for children, teens and adults to help them live independently. The organization's mission is to change the way the world views people with disabilities by making profound differences in people's lives.
