TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka-based credit union is giving back in a big way to brighten the future of area children.

Azura Credit Union presented 13’s Chris Fisher, and Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Area Director Eric Maydew with a $1,000 check this morning. The donation comes in the form of a sponsorship to Chris’ annual “Sporting Clays For Kids, presented by Gardner Roofing.”

Proceeds from the 10th Annual fundraiser benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters.

"We are big on the community," said Katie Beach of Azura. "We feel like if we're investing in our community then the community will do better so this event is a great event that we're proud to be a part of. In the past we've done small donations and now we're making a big impact on it."

The shoot takes place August 17th at Ravenwood Lodge and Chris is currently rounding up this year’s group of sponsors.
