TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A local church is helping the community as the temperatures start to get colder.

Town & Country Christian Church is partnering with Harvesters to distribute about 30,000 pounds of perishable food products Thursday, December 6th, including 2,000 loaves of bread.

The drive-through distribution will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the East Entrance of KNI off 21st and SW Randolph once food trucks have been unloaded. The church says this is a no questions asked distribution, but they will need to know the how many people are in the family, along with the amount of children and seniors. No I.D. is needed.

The church says volunteers are welcome and appreciated. Anyone interested in helping can show up between 8 and 8:30
