TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A couple of local businesses got to discuss their ideas with other small business owners Wednesday.
The owners of Dialogue Coffee and EMP Shield were the presenters at this month's 1 Million Cups meeting.
Dialogue Coffee is a local coffee shop that hires developmentally disabled employees. EMP shield is a start-up company that offers EMP protection to businesses and even government buildings.
The 1 Million Cups meeting allows business owners to do more than just enjoy the free coffee, according to Washbrn University's SBDC director, Karl Klein.
"It's really a platform for small business owners to present their ideas and their businesses to the small business community."
Klein also said that the monthly meetings will become weekly starting in 2020.
