TOPEKA (WIBW)-- A Lawrence man convicted in the 2016 beating and kidnapping of a KU student he met online is now accused in a woman's suspicious death.
According to the Lawrence Journal World, Shane Allen was arrested on a probation violation Wednesday.
He was convicted December 2016 on two counts of aggravated battery.
In that case, Allen confined a 20 year-old woman to his home, beating her repeatedly over six days.
Allen met the woman on Tinder, LJ World is now reporting Lawrence Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who met Allen online.
The woman identified as Sabrina Frock, 27, of Brookfield, Missouri was mortally injured April 29th after that visit.
She died days later at a Kansas hospital. Allen was arrested Wednesday after a string of probation violations were filed against him at the end of May.
Bond has been set at $20,000, his next court appearance is June 20th.
