Lawrence Police return hundreds of stolen items, still trying to return more

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Lawrence Police Dept. has returned hundreds of stolen items to their rightful owners following the arrest of a suspect in dozens of burglaries.

However, investigators are still trying to find the owners of plenty of other items, so they can give them back too.

Among the items still left to be returned

  • Autographed jerseys;
  • Purses;
  • Cameras;
  • Power Tools, and;
  • Jewelry

Police are asking anyone who has been the victim of a burglary to their home or vehicle over the past year to double-check to see if they were missing any other items. If so, they can contact LPD's Investigations department at 785-830-7430.

Also, people who had items stolen, but did not file a police report are asked to contact authorities about missing items as well. They can reach out to the police department at 785-832-7509.

Last week, Brian Ferrar, 33, was arrested in connection with dozens of burglaries, police said. They recovered hundreds of stolen items after serving a trio of search warrants.
