TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Lawrence Human Society is hoping to clear their shelter by waiving the fees on most of their animals this weekend.
The shelter is hosting "Clear the Shelter Day" on Saturday and is hoping to find homes for every adoptable pet in their care. Along with no adoption fee, the shelter says all the animals get adoption benefits, such as spaying and neutering, vaccines, microchips and a starter bag of dog food.
There is only one pet adoption allowed per household.
The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday. It's located at 1805 E. 19th St.
