Police locate suspect in Lawrence McDonald's shooting

LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Authorities have located the suspect involved in an Oct. shooting at a McDonald's restaurant in Lawrence.

The Lawrence Police Department says Howard Levite, 27, was arrested Nov. 1 in Jackson Co. Missouri on unrelated charges.

Levite faces charges of attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated assault.

According to the Lawrence Police Dept., officers were called to the McDonald's at 1309 W 6th St. just before 6:30 p.m. in response to a shooting. Upon arrival, they found that a 50-year-old victim had been shot in his car.

The victim was transported to an area hospital with significant injuries, and was later released.
