TOPEKA (WIBW)-- The Kansas Republican Party celebrated the architect of the Kansas GOP.
Thursday night, Kansas Republicans celebrated former President Dwight D. Eisenhower's 129th birthday. The former Presidents birthday isn't until October 14th, but the party wanted to get a jump start on celebrations.
Eisenhower was raised in Abilene, Kansas, a general during WWII and later became the nations 34th President.
Kansas Republican Party Chairman, Mike Kuckleman says Eisenhower's ideology are still with them today. A strong economy and smaller government.
Kuckleman says we all have a duty to get involved.
There's always room for another person to step up and help and anyway that you can help please take it seriously, get out to vote," Kuckleman said. Work on getting informed on the issues and help us make America a better place, make Kansas a better place for the future generations.
The last day to register to vote in the November 5th General Election is October 15th.
