UPDATE:Friday evening wreck on K-18 damaged 11 vehicles, 1 minor injury reported

OGDEN, Kan. (WIBW) -- UPDATE: Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 2000 Nissan Frontier driven by Keaton Lind of Everett, Washington, was westbound on K-18 and lost control on the icy bridge over the Kansas River near Ogden.

The vehicle impacted the bridge rails on both sides of the roadway causing a chain reaction collision involving ten other vehicles which were unable to slow or stop due to the icy bridge surface.

One minor injury was reported by a passenger in one of the chain reaction vehicles.

Riley County Police have reopened the K-18 bridge over the Kansas River near Ogden following a multi-vehicle crash Friday.

According to the Geary Co. Sheriff Office, the highway was closed both directions from 12th St. exit to I-70 exit 303.

No injuries have been reported.
