June suspicious death ruled an accident due to methamphetamine intoxication

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The death of a woman that was called suspicious back in June is now being called an accident.

50-year-old Odessa Marie Henderson collapsed in an alley, in the 300 block of SW Lindenwood Ave.on June 26th.

She was rushed to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

An autopsy was done on Henderson and shows she died from methamphetamine intoxication.

According to the Shawnee County Coroner’s report, Henderson was seen on video burglarizing a home when she collapsed several times.

The report also says she had blunt force trauma to the head, which was the result of her collapsing.

Court records show she had several prior convictions for drugs and burglary.
