Junction City woman arrested for stabbing boyfriend

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Junction City man is in stable condition after being stabbed by his girlfriend on Sunday night.

The Junction City Police Department says authorities were called to the 100 block of West 16th Street, in the Washington Court Apartment complex around 6:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a stabbing incident.

When they arrived, they found John Motton, 25, of Junction City, with a stab wound to his chest. Motton was taken to Stormont Vail hospital where he is in stable condition.

Officials say he was stabbed by his girlfriend, Kyrianna Johnson, 21, of Junction City.

Johnson faces Domestic Aggravated Battery charges and is currently in custody without bond.
