JC-GC DOG finds meth lab, apprehends suspect

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Early Saturday morning, the Junction City-Geary County Drug Operations Group found a meth lab in the 300 block of North Washington Street, according to the group.

Avery Louis Pierson, 35, was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and of marijuana; and interference with law enforcement.

The Drug Operations Group conducted a search warrant on the block in relation to a meth manufacturing investigation.

The Junction City-Geary County Drug operations Group is a joint task force composed of members from the Junction City Police Department, Geary County Sheriff's Department, and Grandview Plaza Police Department.
