Hundreds join at the Capitol to fight breast cancer one step at a time

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Hundreds joined at the State Capitol Saturday morning for the 2019 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk by the American Cancer Society.

People showed their support on a crisp morning by walking one, two, or three laps around the Capitol building.

The event brought together survivors, caregivers, and men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer —showing that no one walks alone.

“I just love seeing everybody come together for a cause, especially seeing the survivors come and show how they're fighting the fight and they're out here to win,” Analisa Chavez-Munoz, a volunteer at the event, said.

13's own Deneysha Richard emceed the event.
