TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) Topeka Fire officials believe a fire in central Topeka early Thursday morning was intentionally set.
Fire Marshal Michael Martin says crews were called to 1712 SW Washburn around 5:30 a.m., and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the home.
The fire was quickly contained.
Officials say the home was vacant and reported no injuries.
The blaze caused an estimated $7,500 in damage.
Martin says a preliminary investigation indicates the fire was intentionally set.
