MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Manhattan Mayor’s Spirit of the Holiday Lighted Parade showed off the festive side of the little apple Friday night.
The floats were beautiful - and the Manhattan community came out in droves to see them.
People there say there's just no better way to spend time with family.
The parade is a perfect new, or old holiday tradition.
"I think this is my fourth time," Manhattan resident Wyndi Busick said.
The parade filled downtown Manhattan with lights, sights, and sounds.
But for one family one of the best parts is the joy on their kids’ faces.
"Just watching my kids actually enjoy the parade. I love when the fire trucks come down with their lights on and then just watching my children enjoy it," Busick said.
Even the 13 news crew got in on the fun, walking in the parade.
"We love it, we love that it's at night and all the lights that are on the floats and it's just a great family event," Busick said.
This is the 17th year the parade lit up Manhattan.
It was followed by the annual tree lighting ceremony in City Park.
