2 motorcyclists injured in Jefferson Co. wreck

JEFFERSON CO., Kan. (WIBW) -- A wreck involving a car and a motorcycle injured two people in Jefferson County this morning.

Deborah Sowers was driving a Ford Flex eastbound on U.S. 24 when she slowed down to make a left-handed turn.

Horst and Birgit Bauer were also heading east on U.S. 24 when they attempted to pass Sowers on the left, colliding with the Ford Flex.

Birgit Bauer may have a serious injury. Horst, who was driving the motorcycle, complained of pain in relation to a possible injury.

They were both taken to the hospital. Neither of them were wearing a helmet.

Sowers and her passenger, Bradley Sowers, were both uninjured.
