Donation to TARC helping children and adults with disabilities with feeding issues
A grant from Stormont Vail Hospital's Foundation is helping a local non-profit purchase new equipment.
The hospital presented TARC with a check for $613 Monday afternoon. The money will go toward TARC's feeding clinic. It helps children and adults with disabilities who have feeding and swallowing issues.
TARC's feeding coordinator Alisha Delgado says the money benefits children and their families.
"We have kids who have never been able to eat with their classmates at school before," she said. "It just has a significant, limiting impact on their families. We start opening those up and the gratitude comes pouring forth and it just keeps us motivated to keep going."
Last year, the clinic had 155 visits helping 12 clients.
