TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Geary County authorities have identified the father and woman who were taken into custody after a kidnapping last week.

Police have identified them as Clarence Watkins and Pamela Broadnax.

Both are facing multiple charges including Aggravated Battery, Attempt to Flee or Elude, Aggravated Endangerment of a Child, and Kidnapping.

Watkins and Pamela Broadnax are still booked in the Geary County Jail. Bond has been set at $100,000 each.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Junction City Police notified them that Watkins took off with the infant around 2:00p.m. Friday afternoon, and was headed east on I-70 toward Topeka.

Troopers spotted them just west of the capital city, waited for more units, then tried to stop them on the Kansas Turnpike, east of the city.

KHP says the driver refused to stop, even after hitting stop sticks.

Troopers finally boxed in the pickup and take Watckins, who they say was armed at the time, into custody. The woman was also arrested.

The infant was not hurt.
