Former St. Francis Ministries employee accused of multiple child sex crimes

SALINA, Kan. (KWCH) -- Deputies with the Saline County Sheriff's Office arrested a former employee of St. Francis Ministries for child sex crimes on Monday.

Lieutenant Michael Ascher, with the sheriff's office, said the arrest of Nathaniel McEachin, 39, of Salina, stemmed from an investigation that started in mid-May of 2019.

McEachin is accused of having unlawful sexual relations with four girls who range in age from 14 to 17 at St. Francis, 5097 W. Cloud. The girls were staying at the facility. McEachin worked at the facility for four to five months.

McEachin now faces charges of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated indecent liberties, sexual exploitation of a child, electronic solicitation of a child, kidnapping, aggravated intimidation of a witness and unlawful sexual relations.

Ascher says the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be filed. No other arrests are expected.
