A federal judge has dismissed a Topeka family's lawsuit over a women's death in a fire.

Elizabeth Frost's family claimed the security company ADT was negligent.

Their civil suit, filed in July, stated ADT received alarms from her burning home in August 2016, but didn't alert authorities.

Frost died of carbon monoxide poisoning from inhaling smoke and soot.

The suit also accused ADT of fraud, deception and breaching the Kansas consumer protection act.

Court records show district court judge Julie Robinson ruled last week, that the family did not provide sufficient facts to support their claims for relief.
