(WIBW) -- The FBI is seeking the public's help in identifying a female who may have critical information related to a child victim in a sexual exploitation investigation.

Photographs and a poster depicting the female in question, dubbed Jane Doe 37, have been made available to the public.

Jane Doe 37 is described as a white female with brown hair and dark-framed glasses. However, her appearance may have changed over the years.

Videos of the person of interest were first recorded by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2014, and embedded data indicates the files were produced in 2012.

The information about this person was originally released in 2016 under a John Doe title, but further investigation led the FBI to determine the person was female, not male.

Anyone with information to provide should submit a tip online at
tips.fbi.gov or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
