Emporia vacant home goes up in flame, cause undetermined

EMPORIA, Kan. (WIBW)- Emporia fire crews are investigating what sent a vacant home up in flames.

KVOE reports that crews were called to the home at 325 W. Fifth just before 9:30 Sunday night. Additional crews from Americus and Olpe were called in for mutual aid.

A neighbor of the home was taken to Newman Regional Health for possible smoke inhalation.

Authorities have not determined a cause or point of origin for the fire.
