(WIBW) -- It's one of the oldest rivalries in all of NCAA Division II.
And for the 115th time in the history of the two programs, Emporia State football and Washburn football will meet on Saturday.
The Hornets hold the overall head-to-head record 56-52-6 and have won the last three years straight, and five of the last six.
Before that, Washburn won eight straight from 2004 to 2011.
The series is the second-most played in DII history, since South Dakota Mines and Black Hills State have since reclassified to DII.
Both teams enter Saturday's matchup with 4-4 records and in a three-way tie for sixth place in the MIAA with Nebraska-Kearney.
Washburn is fresh off of a season-low 131 yards passing and the first shutout loss in 49 games after a 34-0 blow from Central Oklahoma, while Emporia State is looking to bounce back from a loss to Missouri Western on Homecoming.
