Election Day 2019
It's Election Day and you have until 7 o'clock tonight to exercise your right to vote.
On the ballot, the even numbered seats for the Topeka city council.
There's a three-way race for District 2 between Will Pope, Tamika Terry and Christina Valdivia-Alcala.
District 4 incumbent Tony Emerson is running unopposed.
It's another three way race in District 6 between Hannah Naeger, Lucas Ryan and Clark Trammell.
In District 8, former Topeka mayoral candidate Spencer Duncan is facing off against incumbent Jeff Coen.
Other races of note include four seats up for grabs on the Topeka USD 501 board of education.
Emporia voters will decide today whether or not to issue $78 million dollars in bonds to update their schools.
The city of Manhattan is asking residents to approve a .3% of a cent hike in the city's sales tax. Money would go to six projects, including north campus corridor improvements, another portion of the money would rebuild the runway at Manhattan regional airport to improve safety.
