ESU baseball coach Bob Fornelli becomes program's winningest coach

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The #11 Emporia State Hornet baseball team stormed back to beat Washburn 13-7 on Tuesday, and with the victory ESU baseball coach Bob Fornelli broke the school record for wins.

Fornelli now has 558 wins while at Emporia State. The ESU grad is 558-238 (.701) in his 14th season coaching the Hornets.

Emporia State scored two runs in the 9th inning to tie the game at 7. In the 10th inning ESU would pour it on to sweep the Turnpike Tussle.

Mason Brown had four hits and two RBIs for the Hornets in the win.
