Rescue teams have recovered the body of the man who drowned in Lake Perry Wednesday night.
Jefferson Co. Sheriff Jeff Herrig identified him as Adam Perkins, 19, of Grantville, and said they found his body confirmed around 10:30 a.m.
The search began around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Slough Creek area, on the south end of the lake. Herrig said authorities had several boats equipped with sonar in the water, along with a dive team, until thunderstorms forced them to call off efforts around 11 p.m.
The search resumed early Thursday morning, with a full crew of divers and boats on the lake
